BREAST CANCER TREATMENT DECISION AID

BREAST CANCER TREATMENT DECISION AID

Tool developed in collaboration with UZ Leuven, to help breast cancer patients decide which of the various available treatment options, to follow. It helps patients prepare for discussion with the physician on the optimal treatment.

This tool provides interactive information on disease, treatments, benefit-risks, quality of life and the trade-offs between treatments.

University cooperation

A 4-year PhD thesis1 under a Baekeland mandate was the basis for this project. This mandate promotes the fruitful cooperation between university and industry.
